Fuegas

‎ Fuegas Mujeres, is a program of creation processes, which through introspective and retrospective exercises, has the objective that women can: re-think/doubt/undo/re-build/ their current creative processes (many times based on in references from other people and/or schools), to build their own, authentic and expansive visual universe, from the interaction with other women.
We understand teaching as doing together and we are interested in looking at ourselves from that place, without hierarchies, learning in a circle from the power of virtuality, but accompanied to stop again in our creative paths and nourish ourselves from the processes of others.
The round around the fire, the ritual of the meeting to fan the flame that, blowing among all, grows, expands and ignites.
We propose an affective, horizontal and critical pedagogy to weave as a tribe, their own stories, in free formats that are interwoven between jewelry, textiles, trades and visual arts.
Autobiographical creative processes with a gender perspective.
We are interested in highlighting the simple or brutal gesture of the autobiographical history of women and the dissidents of the L.G.B.T.
We believe that our own history is a vital input for the development of the creative process beyond the result.
This is why we are interested in putting into tension these thematic axes that at times seem to distance themselves from biography/creative processes.
What do we say when we take a specific universe of materials?
Where does this "intuitive" desire to use a certain color palette come from?
Are the issues we address linked or not to our own history?
Do women and dissidence feel vulnerable/insecure to show our artistic work?
